Award-winning piano professor to perform Monday night

Panayis Lyras, MSU professor of piano and artist in residence, will perform Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Fairchild Theatre in the Auditorium.

The performance is a part of the WKAR-sponsored Faculty Recital Series.

A graduate of the Juilliard school, Lyras is a native of Greece and an award-winning pianist, according to the College of Music's website.

The website said Lyras has performed solo recitals across the country from Seattle to New York City to Houston. He has also performed outside of the United States in England, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, Uruguay and South America. 

Tickets are free for students, $10 for adults and $8 for seniors.
