17th Annual East Lansing Film Festival begins this weekend

October 28, 2014

As the 17th Annual East Lansing Film Festival begins this weekend, MSU students will be able to participate and view the festival's plethora of documentaries, features, and short films without having to leave campus.

Wells Hall will be hosting the screenings of various films from Friday, Oct. 31 to  Sunday, Nov. 2, where students can purchase tickets for $3.

"The East Lansing Film Festival is a way for people to get together to see great independent films and to celebrate regional films by up and coming filmmakers," East Lansing Film Festival Director Susan W. Woods said.

Following each film will be a discussion with the directors, where students have the opportunity to share their questions and comments about the production.

To begin the weekend of screenings, the ELFF is collaborating with the Residence Halls Association on Oct. 31 to offer MSU students a free viewing of two horror films in light of Halloween. Oculus and Let Me In will both be played at 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. in Wells Hall.

The remainder of the film festival will take place at Studio C! located in Okemos up until Thursday, Nov. 6. Students can purchase tickets for $7.
