Three Spartans in NFL brought home wins Sunday

Sunday was a good day to be a former Spartan quarterback. 

Kirk CousinsBrian Hoyer and Drew Stanton all saw playing time Sunday and all three bought home a win for their respective teams.

Cousins, the Redskins quarterback, filled in for the injured Robert Griffin III, tossing two touchdowns for 250 yards. The Washington Redskins defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 41-10.

Hoyer, completed 24 of 40 passes for 204 yards and one touchdown for the Cleveland Browns. Hoyer led a 14-play 85-yard drive to set up a game winning field goal with three seconds left, the Browns won 26-24.

Stanton, the Cardinals signal caller, went 14/29 for 167 yards. The Arizona Cardinals defeated the New York Giants, 25-14.
