Coming off of a bye week, MSU football benefitted in the Associated Press poll by moving up two spots to No. 11.

MSU is 1-1 overall and is still the highest ranked team in the Big Ten, ahead of Wisconsin at No. 19 and Ohio State at No. 24.

The top of the poll remained unchanged. Florida State is ranked No. 1 with Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma and Auburn rounding out the top five.

MSU leap-frogged UCLA after they struggled with Texas on Saturday. The No. 13 spot in the poll fell to Georgia following a Bulldog loss.
