MSU students might not know much about the coach who will be on the opposite sideline of head coach Mark Dantonio, but Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton has been said to mirror Dantonio's off-the-field personality.

Both coaches spoke at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit this past June, and Dantonio said he was very impressed with Creighton.

"I was impressed with his delivery," Dantonio said. "I'm very impressed that he is not going to back down from anything and challenge his players to play with great effort, great toughness and know what to do, that's where it all starts."

Creighton posted a 139-46 record in 17 seasons at Wabash College and Ottawa University.

During his weekly teleconference on Monday, Creighton said he has great respect for Dantonio and what he has built at MSU, but said they aren't coming to Spartan Stadium to collect a check and a loss.

"You have all kinds of respect for that program," he said. "But I'm not going sit here and say we're going to get our teeth kicked in. We are going to try to go out and win this game."

No. 11 MSU (1-1 overall) takes on Eastern Michigan (1-2 overall) Saturday at noon in Spartan Stadium. The game will be on Big Ten Network.
