Obama's title pick? MSU

March 19, 2014

President Barack Obama picked MSU to win the 2014 NCAA Tournament against defending champion Louisville, the fourth seed in the Midwest region, it was revealed earlier Wednesday.

Obama told ESPN at the network's annual Barack-etology — aired on Sports Center at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday —  that he's betting on the Spartans to go all the way.

"Tom Izzo is a great tournament coach," Obama told ESPN's Andy Katz. "I've got Michigan State going all the way. ... He knows how to motivate folks and he knows how to coach. My pick: Michigan State. Bring it home for me."

In 2009, Obama correctly picked North Carolina to win over Louisville. That was the last time his intuition won him the bracket contest.

Following their Big Ten Tournament victory, the Spartans are seeded fourth in the East Region of the NCAA tournament. The Spartans are a popular pick to make it to the Final Four, according to ESPN.

As for the South, Obama picked No. 1 seed Florida, and in the West, No. 1 seed Arizona.

The website stated that last year, President Obama finished in 2,080,996th place out of 8.15 million people who entered in the ESPN.com bracket system.
