The MSU softball team opens its home season at Old College Field against Eastern Michigan at 3 p.m. today.

This past weekend, MSU went 3-1 in the IU Softball Classic. Junior Dana Rosenblatt hit two home runs in the tournament. The week prior, she had hit her first career home run. She has eight hits and seven RBI, which already tops her numbers before this season, when she had a combined four hits and three RBI.

Junior Meghan Darhower, who plays third base, tied the MSU single-game record for doubles when she recorded three Saturday.

The Spartans are 18-9 this season and Eastern Michigan is 9-15. The Eagles are coming off an upset of No. 21 Louisville.
